Lisa is experienced in establishing HR functions and people management and development frameworks within growing businesses, having over 10 years’ experience establishing and leading HR functions within growing SME businesses prior to establishing Purpose HR in 2014. She has achieved Chartered Membership of the Institute of Personnel and Development, is an alumni of the Entrepreneurial Scotland Saltire Fellowship programme, and is a qualified Executive business coach. With experience in developing and implementing HR frameworks across a range of business environments, working closely with CEOs and management teams to design and tailor HR policy, toolkits and supporting processes she has expertise in understanding, interpreting and applying business growth strategies and translating these into effective, user-friendly and fit for purpose HR strategies and supporting frameworks tailored to client needs and a proven ability to work to tight deadlines and demanding schedules.
Claire has built her career in Financial Services where she gained wide-ranging experience in client facing, executive support and sales operations roles.
With a passion for delivering excellent customer service, Claire continually seeks to find opportunities for operational improvement, focussing on simplifying and standardising processes to enable teams to spend more time with clients. She has gained significant risk management experience during her career and maintains a keen interest in this area of expertise.
Claire has a first-class degree in Management from the University of St Andrews, is a Chartered Banker and is currently studying for Certificate in Operational Risk Management.
Outside of work she loves Pilates, interior design and travel.
Amy has extensive experience in developing HR processes and functions for people management within both the SME and corporate environments. Amy has managed the creation of a HR function working closely with senior management to develop the key frameworks and policies required, tailored to meet the needs of the business. She has managed many complex employee relations cases end to end as well as supporting businesses with international recruitment. Amy has designed and delivered training to managers and staff on a range of HR products and is experienced providing coaching on critical management areas such as recruitment, managing conflict and performance. Amy’s background qualifications are in Politics and International Relations and she has a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management. She is an Associate member of the CIPD.
Donna has extensive experience of both the creation and delivery of the development of HR strategy, driving the people agenda and ensuring effective resourcing strategies are in place within SME and corporate organisations. She has significant experience of developing people and teams at all levels within an organisation, through both talent management and succession planning processes. Donna has been responsible for the planning and implementation of a number of high level restructures within both SME and corporate environments. She has taken the lead in the coordination and implementation of TUPE transfers for large corporate businesses as well as the third sector. Donna has expertise in advising, coaching and supporting leadership teams in all areas of HR, ranging from the design and implementation of change programmes, providing advice and guidance on complex employee relations activities to Employment Law. Donna has an MSc in Human Resource Management and is a Chartered member of the CIPD.
Marina has over 7 years’ experience working with technology start-ups and SMEs. She has developed tailored HR practices from scratch and taken existing processes to the next level. Marina has acted as a trusted advisor to a variety of employees, line managers and C-level executives. As a data and technology-driven HR professional she helps managers to take the guess-work out of their HR management. She specialises in international HR with multi-cultural approaches. Marina holds a B.Sc. in Management from a Swiss University and a M.Sc. in International HR Management from the University of Edinburgh (CIPD Level 7).
Linda is a sales and marketing professional with over 20 years’ experience across a variety of industry sectors including Medical Devices, Automotive, Aviation, IT, Oil & Gas, Engineering, Construction, Sport and Education.
With a career spanning marketing and corporate communications, as well as business development and several years in recruitment, Linda possesses a wealth of experience in previous roles with SMEs, global organisations and small start-ups. She has held responsibility for event management, branding, web and social media, advertising and customer communications. She brings this to Purpose HR along with a passion for business growth and developing strong client relationships.
Tyler graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 2019 with a first-class degree in International Business Management, having spent part of her course studying in Malaysia.
Tyler gained experience with an Edinburgh based recruitment firm where her role was focussed on providing dedicated support to contractors, temporary workers and clients, working on a range of assignments within the Financial Services sector. She has particular experience in carrying out the pre-employment screening and onboarding processes.
In her spare time, Tyler enjoys being involved with her family business in the wedding industry and also has a keen interest in interior design.
Gary is an experienced business adviser who has been working with privately owned businesses for over 35 years, assisting them in meeting their personal and corporate objectives. He has become a director of four of the businesses he works with and is a shareholder in three. He was appointed Chairman of Falkirk Football Club in December 2019.
Gary was a partner with KPMG for 14 years and latterly led their Family Business practice in the UK. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He has also worked with the Office of Tax Simplification which advises HM Treasury on simplifying the UK tax system.
